O&G Mason Hosts ASLA Continuing Education Program

On March 16, O&G’s Mason Division hosted its first American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) Connecticut Continuing Education Session since the pandemic at its showroom in Bridgeport.

The program, “Sustainable Design & Construction: A Materials Showcase,” brought together ASLA members from across the state to learn about the Design for Freedom Initiative, sustainable concrete/Pozzotive, high-performance adhesives, sustainable granite quarrying, resilient design through local materials, and permeable interlocking concrete pavers.

Speakers included Nora Rizzo, Ethical Materials Director of Grace Farms Foundation; Louis Fusco, PLA, principal of Louis Fusco Landscape Architects; Patrick Grasso, co-founding partner of Urban Mining Industries; Tom Quackenbush, field representative of Ardex Tile; Dan Julian and Chris Carboni of Getty Granite; Eric Rains, PLA, ASLA, principal of Erice Rains Landscape Architects; and Jeff Taphouse, US Commercial Sales Manager at Techo-Bloc.
